Now ZODIAC, the benchmark brand of the inflatable boat, joins forces with the “Route du Rhum – La Banque Postale 2010”. To ensure that the event is a success, Zodiac has become the Official Supplier of semi-rigid boats to this prestigious sailing race.

Recognized for its technological edge and unique expertise, this year Zodiac is a presence at the heart of the race. In fact the company is creating a limited series just for this legendary event. Each boat will be perfectly equipped and specially prepared to meet the organizer’s needs.
The selected boats are Zodiac Pro Open 550s, type “La Route du Rhum – La Banque Postale” with Yamaha F115 AETX-Efi motor, hydraulic steering, fixed 83-litre tank, immobile floats and self-bailing cockpit. They are loading with seagoing safety equipment with five self-inflating Zodiac Cruiser 150 lifejackets. The limited series is also offered in Zodiac Pro Open 650s, equipped with Yamaha F 150 AETX-Efi motor and a fixed 120-litre tank.
These boats will sell at a bargain price and can be viewed at “La Route du Rhum – La Banque Postale” Village from 23 to 31 October 2010.

"We are working hard preparing the boat on the water and 3 new sails in my sail loft “Andrea Mura sail design”. At the end of august we will take the boat out of the water to paint the fluo orange antifouling on the rudder and the keel. The 10 of September we will have national press conference in cagliari – Sardinia. Immediately after the press conference I will depart from Cagliari to Saint-Malo. About 2.000 mile alone to make training and qualification. I should sailing for about 15 days. Arrive in Saint-Malo on 25° just on time for the press conference in Paris on 28 September".
After setting out from Lorient, Groupama 3's port of registry, on Wednesday 7th July, to perform the qualifier for the Route du Rhum, Franck Cammas made it back to port on the evening of Sunday 11th.
