Nautic, partner of the Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale Race
Extraordinary meeting of passions, Nautic welcomes from many years the most popular regattas and skippers. The “Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale” is the first transatlantic French race, the race which allowed the public to access open sea races. For its 50th edition, the Nautic, International Paris Boat Show repeats it’s partnership with this exceptional event and organizer, Pen Duick.
If the Nautic is the first annual “rendez-vous” of yachting, it is simply thanks to the French naval industry dynamism, which is recognized as world leader. But also because a spearhead of this industry is the competition: the one which pushes limits of materials, stimulating innovation and make people dream!
Competition and adventure created, in France as everywhere, a special link between people at large and Sea, the Nautic is the representative of that.
More than hundreds of boats exposed in Paris, Nautic is the first meeting of skippers and passionate in the world: every world know competition presents its program, events and partners.
Pen Duick, historic leader of French regattas organisation, will be present at the Nautic as every year, welcoming press and skippers at the “Nautic Café”.
In 2010, the Nautic and Pen Duick fortify their partnership working together on “La Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale”, which goes back to origins, welcoming this year the impressive Maxis.
Since half a century, fans get together every winter around champions. This year, the boat show will focus on the 50 skippers and the 50 events which influenced sailing race from 50 years, and no doubt that the trade wind will blow hardly again at “La Porte de Versailles”, few days after the arrival of “La Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale” the most important French transatlantic race.

"We are working hard preparing the boat on the water and 3 new sails in my sail loft “Andrea Mura sail design”. At the end of august we will take the boat out of the water to paint the fluo orange antifouling on the rudder and the keel. The 10 of September we will have national press conference in cagliari – Sardinia. Immediately after the press conference I will depart from Cagliari to Saint-Malo. About 2.000 mile alone to make training and qualification. I should sailing for about 15 days. Arrive in Saint-Malo on 25° just on time for the press conference in Paris on 28 September".
